We are proud to announce the opening of our newly completed cremation center that houses our second state-of-the-art crematory retort.  This new machine adds additional identification procedures requiring our certified crematory operators to scan bar codes before the machine can be operated.  Bar codes are assigned to a family’s loved one’s cremation permits and paperwork, then a second scan verifies the bar code assigned when the body is brought to our facility.

Our cremation center also allows for a family to comfortably witness the start of the cremation process in our witnessing room.  If for personal or religious reasons a family wishes to start the cremation process they may do so by operating these controls on the interior of the witnessing room.

At Local Cremation our goal is to offer complete cremation service by owning our crematory and personally coming to the home, hospital or nursing home.  We keep our expenses low so we can pass on savings to families, while bringing comfort and reassurance to them.   For more information please visit www.localcremation.com or call Wendell Cox at 214-343-4040.

Local Cremation is able to provide a high level of personal and quality service to the families we care for because:

  1. We own and operate a state-of-the-art crematory.
  2. We personally come to the home, hospital or nursing home and bring your loved one into our care, rather than use a third party mortuary service.
  3. You can make cremation arrangements in our office, over the internet, or with one of our cremation specialists in your home.
  4. We can help you put together all the components for a family-led memorial service by providing items like a personalized register book, photo service folders, custom thank you cards, urn, and memorial jewelry.
  5. We can help you prepare the obituary and picture to place on our website and in any local or out of town newspapers.
  6. At the time of the arrangement conference, we can provide you with a helpful list of necessary legal and financial transactions that need to be taken care of after a death.  The list includes information about social security and veterans benefits, along with local registrar office phone numbers and addresses.
  7. We can file and obtain certified copies of the Death Certificates.  The first copy is $21, and $4 for each additional copy.
  8. We can provide you with aftercare resources to help you in your grief journey.

At LocalCremation.com we are here to help.  We want to be the one you turn to when you need help the most.

One of the key questions to ask your funeral director or cremation services provider is:

“Is embalming required?”

Embalming is not required by law.  Most crematories require embalming only if there is going to be a public viewing.  If there are family members, friends or loved ones who did not get a chance to say goodbye, most service providers can schedule a time for a small, private viewing prior to cremation without embalming.

LocalCremation.com provides simple, affordable and dignified cremation services.  From simple cremation to customized memorial services, we would be honored to help you at this time in your life. Our price is the same whether you make the arrangements online, in our offices or in the comfort of your home.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions section at www.localcremation.com or call us at 214-343-4040.

One of the key questions to ask your cremation provider is:

“Can I witness the beginning of the cremation?”

The best answer is “yes.” From the time a cremation provider or funeral director receives your loved one, there are a number of options.

Most cremations take place early in the morning and arrangements can be made for you to see the start of the cremation.  Many religions and beliefs have this as a part of their rituals and, of course, these wishes will be honored gracefully.

LocalCremation.com is a full-service cremation provider.  We offer a simple, dignified and affordable option for your loved one’s final services.  From simple cremation to customized memorial services, we are here to serve you in this most difficult time.
